CHALLENGE: Usage of packaging designed for other logistics process, after the change of assumptions, what resulted in a situation in which an existing project has become significantly costogenic.

ACTION TAKEN:

  • Structural optimization of package in dimension proportion
  • Reducing the amount of raw material used for the production of packaging, with simultaneous increase of the volume of products in bulk containers (-38%)
  • Selection of the optimal raw material eliminating the use of the material in excess of logistical requirements (-10%)

RESULTS: 48% cost reduction of the purchase of package. No cost of implementing the project on the client side.
